The editorial staff at The Daily Beast wanted to go beyond the standard photo / video / article packages and include something more interactive. This piece is a side scrolling parallax animation that incorporates a photo gallery, video and text.

Every year Newsweek holds an Oscar Roundtable with some of the biggest names in film. Normally the feature in the print magazine is followed by photo galleries and video of the actual roundtable event. For 2011 we created a rich interactive experience that included a coverflow of all the nominated films along with trailers and prior Newsweek coverage, a prediction form and a live Oscar night dashboard.

The main goal of the re-design was to add to my avenues of interaction with site visitors and to give a more detailed look at my work.
